It’s the dynamism of the floristry world that is so fascinating to me. Nothing about it is static. I love working with beautiful, living materials, having to stay on my toes to move with the seasons, and constantly being challenged by the need for new and innovative ways with colour, texture and fragrance.
Working with flowers is a huge part of who I am. In the last 30 years, I’ve worked in every part of this industry, and I think the fact that I’m still head over heels for flowers shows just how powerfully creative, inspiring and special an industry it is.
As a luxury wedding and events florist, and a dedicated teacher and mentor, it’s my ambition to make sure that as an industry we’re moving in the right direction. I focus on sustainable floristry – working hard to create installations and designs that are fair trade and foam free. But being eco-conscious doesn’t mean scrimping on style, scale or imagination.
Whether I’m designing or teaching, getting the chance to meet with so many wonderful people from all walks of life, and helping their ideas and their visions to blossom into stunning floral displays is something I care about very deeply. No matter the way in which we might be working together, I use my experience and passion to guide with no judgement, and to guarantee a calm, inspiring and empowering experience for everyone who sets foot in my studio.
After years spent in the buzz of London, you can now find me among the deep greens of Herefordshire, where I’m surrounded by birdsong, home grown organic flowers, and apple trees in the sprawling orchard. I love welcoming wedding couples and workshop students to my beautiful purpose-built barn, where the floral magic happens. Let’s create something wonderful together.
